Founder's Statement

Liquid Catering was founded in 1982, inspired by a simple idea while I was working at my family’s fine wine shop in Tarzana: if there were food caterers, why not beverage caterers? What began in a garage with one client quickly grew through word of mouth, and soon we were collaborating with many of the top caterers and planners across Los Angeles. Since then, we’ve had the honor of serving five U.S. presidents and have provided bar service for events ranging from intimate dinners to music festivals with over 23,000 guests.

From the beginning, this has been a family-driven business. My oldest, once strapped to my back on deliveries, now manages our IT. My second has bartended and is now learning the business in preparation to lead it one day. My youngest worked his first event at 13 and continues to bartend today. With team members who’ve been with us for many years, we’ve celebrated generations of milestones with our clients — weddings, births, graduations, and beyond. Being part of those moments is what makes this work so meaningful, and today I’m proud to call Liquid Catering a truly family-owned and operated business.
